We all love WhatsApp, but sometimes it can be a bit frustrating when you want to see a deleted message. But don’t worry! It’s actually really easy to do.
Once you have finished resetting your account settings, you will be able to see deleted messages. You can also edit them, but we will save that for a later section. So, with that out of the way, let’s move on to the steps on how to view deleted messages on WhatsApp:
1) Open the app and tap “Menu”
2) Select “Account”
3) Scroll down and tap on “Reset Account”
4) Enter the verification code which you received in the previous step
5) Tap “Reset Account”
6) Enter the password you used to set up your WhatsApp account
7) You will now see a screen with a “Delete Messages” button. Click on this button
8) A chat conversation will open with the selected contacts
9) You can use the cursor keys to change the size of the screen
Another important thing to mention here is that you have to remember to enable the “Send Validation Code” option when you send a message to another user, otherwise the message won’t go through. You can do so by going to your Settings menu. Also, you must be using the latest version of WhatsApp because the older versions have different settings.

If you’re running on an older version, there is a chance that you might not be able to receive or reply to deleted messages. You can also download the latest WhatsApp for Android or iOS app. Remember that deleting a message on WhatsApp isn’t the same as deleting it on other messenger apps like Facebook Messenger or iMessage. It simply allows you to prevent WhatsApp from saving copies of your messages, not prevent people from seeing it.
