UET Peshawar rises and shines at Microsoft Imagine Cup.
The Microsoft Imagine Cup is the world’s most prominent technology competition to bridge the gap between students and the business community. In partnership with Microsoft, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) hosted the 2022 edition of the tournament, which is also known as the “Olympics of Technology.” The competition was held in Pakistan for the first time in 2022.

For their project titled “Healthcare 360,” UET Peshawar’s team “Reliance” took first place in the competition, including more than 700 teams from all around the nation. Teams from around the world competed in the tournament, and Team Reliance placed ninth overall out of thousands of teams from around the globe.
For the Computer Systems Engineering department’s final year group project, four students came up with Healthcare 360. To fulfill their graduation requirements, they performed this assignment (DCSE). Syeda Fatima Ashoor, Ashley Alex Jacob, and Affifa Zainab Ahmad are the project’s brains.

Team Reliance was awarded a monetary reward of Rs. 150,000 as of the winning prize for achieving first place in the Pakistan Formula One Championship. Microsoft provided team Reliance with a grant of $10,000 to assist them in launching a business to scale up the idea.
According to Vice-Chancellor UET Peshawar Prof. Dr Iftikhar Hussain, Team Reliance has made both the institution and the country of Pakistan proud by competing on such a prominent international stage as the Commonwealth Games.
